Case – July 2017

67 year-old male with history of type II diabetes mellitus, diabetic neuropathy, dyslipidemia, arterial occlusive disease bilaterally, and hypertension presents with bilateral lower extremity pain, noted to be more severe on the left side. A lower extremity MRA study was ordered to assess the extent of peripheral vascular disease to guide a treatment plan. The patient also has evidence of atherosclerosis on physical examination, as a carotid bruit was auscultated.
